WMI is always looking for talented individuals who love to work with children from ages 3 months to 6 years old. We have opportunities for someone who thrives in a small school environment and is motivated to continuously develop and grow in an early-learning/childhood development career. WMI supports the teaching staff thru various learning and training opportunities. Here are some of the requirements we look for in a Lead Guide, an Assistant Teacher, or a Teacher Aide

  1. A LEAD GUIDE (LG) for Primary classroom: The said indivudal will be in charge of 10 children in the Primary classroom (maximum of 30 children) and will work and coordinate with the other lead guides in this classroom. Together they ensure monitoring of the children’s work activity and task on a daily basis, recording of children’s progress and development through WMI’s electronic system, Transparent Classroom and co-manages the daily classroom activities. The LG must also establish a robust and flexible communication channel with parents of the children under his/her care, be ready to discuss and meet with the parents, and he/she can articulate a child’s progress during parent-teacher conferences. Together with the school director the LG ensures materials on the shelf are updated to promote a normalized and learning atmosphere for the children under their care at all times. The LG must also manage and be able to direct the teaching assistants and aides in the classroom and ensure the upkeep and order of the classroom. He/she MUST have an AMI, AMS or equivalen certification in the field of Montessori teaching or education, and preferable someone with teaching experience in the age group that he/she will work with. This is a salaried position and is expected to work with other LGs in the Primary classroom.

  2. A LEAD GUIDE (LG) for Toddler/ Wobbler/Infant classrooms: The said indivudal will be in charge of 8-10 children in the Toddler, Wobbler or Infant classroom and will work and coordinate with the other lead guides in this classroom. the LG ensures monitoring of the children’s work activity and task on a daily basis, recording of children’s progress and development through WMI’s electronic system, Transparent Classroom and development and manages the daily classroom activities. The LG must also establish a robust and flexible communication channel with parents of the children under his/her care, be ready to discuss and meet with the parents and he/she can articulate a child’s progress during parent-teacher conferences.   3. ASSISTANT TEACHERS for Primary, Toddler/Wobbler and Infant classrooms: The said individual will assist the lead guide in a classroom. Experience working in a Montessori-environment is preferred but we also welcome individuals who wants to learn about the Montessori- way of training up a child. This is either a part-time (8-12 or 1-6) or a full-time (8-5 or 9-6) position. the said candidate must be Teacher-Qualified (TQ), which implies a minimum of 1500 hours experience in a pre-K environment/day care setting.

  4. TEACHER AIDEs for the Primary, Toddler/Wobbler and Infant classrooms: The said individual should be a person who loves children and is ready to assist the teachers by preparing meals, upkeep of the classrooms and bathrooms, which include sanitizing the surfaces, washing dishes, mopping of floors, cleaning of bathrooms, sweeping and mopping of the floors. assisting children to sleep during naptimes. High-school students from ages 15 up are welcome to apply, even with 0 experience as long as they are of good -spirit, amiable with children and teacher, and easy to train. For applicants below 18 years, Requirements #1 and 5 below do not apply to them.
